It is a great honour to serve as President of the Sri Lankan Cultural Society of Western Australia.

Since our founding in 1987, the Society has proudly stood as one of Western Australia’s leading cultural organisations. For over 38 years, we have worked to foster community spirit, preserve Sri Lankan heritage, and promote multiculturalism across the state.

As we embark on the 2025/26 year, our focus remains clear:

• Engaging the younger generation of Sri Lankans in WA through vibrant social, cultural, and recreational events that celebrate our traditions.
• Representing Sri Lanka as a Cultural Ambassador, sharing our rich history, cuisine, music, and customs with the wider Australian community.
• Building strong networks that promote Sri Lanka’s interests through collaboration and connection.
• Supporting meaningful causes, advocating for and donating to charities where help is needed most.

With the support of a passionate and dedicated board, I am confident we will continue to grow, inspire, and leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
