Aims & Objectives
- Encourages the recognition and development of Multiculturalism in Australia.
- Supports programs and activities which will enable all cultures in Australia to be maintained and developed as part of the Australian multicultural scene.
- Promote the appreciation and acceptance of Sri Lankan culture in Australia and help develop a truly Multicultural Australian Society
- To cooperate and liaise with recognized authorities and organizations in Australia and if considered desirable at any time to affiliate with any such organization.
- To disseminate information pertaining to Sri Lanka and Western Australian community.
- To help initiate programmes to inspire and educate people about our heritage and culture.
- Integrate with other Associations of Sri Lankan origin in Western Australia.
- Associate closely with and support other Sri Lankan associations in Australia promoting activities that are of interest Sri Lankans.
- Assist people from Sri Lanka intending to migrate to Western Australia with advice and information, if so required
- Promote youth activities within the community in keeping with the existing objects of the Society
- Facilitate traditional Sri Lankan Social, Cultural and Recreational events to make aware & create interest among the younger generation of Sri Lankans living in Western Australia.
